Self respect and confidence is one of the most important things to carry around with you at all times. These things are usually the hardest things to keep hold of when coming out of a relationship and you faced rejection. Now it is often instinct to think “how can I getting back my ex?” but what you should really be thinking is “his loss!!”
Yes he may have been handsome, strong, funny, and all those other things you love, but if he is willing to throw you away because of some pathetic excuse like “I just need some space” or “we just aren’t working out” then he is not worth your time and emotions. You need to move on and stop thinking about “how to get my ex-boyfriend back” because it is no good for you. The quicker you learn this, the better. It might sound tough but sometimes the right thing is not the easiest.
Anyway who knows, maybe if you were meant to be together then this could happen in the end anyway. The last thing you want to do is end up in the ‘self pity stage’ of a breakup for too long, where you sit around feeling sorry for yourself and comfort eating ice cream and chocolate. This will do nothing for your confidence and will not improve your situation.
The question should not be ‘how to get my ex back,’ but ‘how to get my life back.’ It is good to remember that before you met him, you had a life, and you were happy without him. You can be again, as long as you let yourself. It is not easy, I know, but it is the best thing for you.
